La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Shelby (SCSO) está investigando la muerte de un recluso en la División Correccional del Condado de Shelby.
El jueves, poco después de las 2:15 p.m., los agentes fueron llamados sobre un aparente intento de suicidio en la División Correccional en 1045 Mullings Station Road, dijeron los agentes.
Según SCSO, el recluso fue encontrado colgado en una celda y trasladado al Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis en estado crítico.
El recluso murió más tarde el sábado por la mañana alrededor de las 4:00 a.m., dijeron los agentes.
El fiscal de distrito Mulroy solicitó a la Oficina del Sheriff del condado Shelby (SCSO) que investigue el incidente.
SCSO is investigating the death of an inmate at Shelby County Division of Corrections. Deputies were called to the Division of Corrections at 1045 Mullings Station Rd, Thursday around 2:17 pm after an inmate was reportedly found hanging in a cell in an apparent suicide attempt.
