He began his training as a journalist in his hometown Usulutan, El Salvador, where he worked as a news presenter for various local radio stations and as a General Director for local television for over 10 years. His style of journalism made it dangerous for him stay in his country, so he had to leave everything behind and seek shelter in the United States.
He moved to Memphis, TN in 2007 and continued his career working for various radio stations in the city, before founding Memphis Noticias at the beginning of 2017.
Memphis, TN is a large city with an estimated population of 650,618, according to the Census Bureau (July 1, 2018), with a growing Hispanic population.
Still, there are not many options when it comes to news in Spanish.
This was causing a problem for the Hispanic community because they could not make important decisions based on current events. This was keeping the community from blossoming.
